My 7 minute apart contractions lasted until about 6AM. I knew I wasn't in early labor at around 4:30AM. I just didn't "feel" it. I walked around the house for a bit, did some squats, and just relaxed. Bunny was pressing her head against my pelvic bone and it was hurting really badly, so I was trying to get her to move a bit. I'm still having a few BH here and there, but nothing regular. We'll see! I'm at the point where I feel like I'm going to be pregnant forever, even though it's irrational. And people's comments are really starting to irritate me. I understand that I really don't have a clue about what it's like to have to care for a newborn 24/7, but if I say I'm bored, I really don't want to hear, "You better enjoy it now, I have blah blah blah kids and I forgot what bored feels like." Okay, great. I'll try to keep you in mind the next time I'm feeling bored and try to find some enjoyment in it. Grrr....
My Short Term Disability claim manager called me today to ask some questions. Turns out, after I didn't go back to work on 12/7, and spoke with my midwife, she told my insurance company that she took me off of work due to "emotional issues". So it seems that I may have a problem getting paid for the last two weeks that I've been off of work. First off, I didn't go into her office crying or moaning about emotional issues, I asked her about Postpartum Depression. This is always a rough time of the year to me (it's the time of year that my mom passed), and I was concerned that with the stress of a new baby, emotions stemming from missing my mom, exhaustion, and changes in hormones, that I'd be a prime candidate for PPD. I also told her that my boss thought it would be better for me to relax at home, instead of driving 45 minutes to work each way and dealing with people that weren't necessarily reasonable with their requests of a nine month pregnant woman.
I'm hoping that they approve my claim, I never thought that there would be a problem, so Hubby and I haven't really been all that careful with our finances. Which is stressing me out.
My midwife usually takes women off work at 38 weeks, so I'm hoping I can get paid from my 38th week on. I hope everything works out okay, I'd hate to get behind on some of our bills because of poor planning and assumptions on my part. I really want to have everything in order when Bunny arrives, and wasn't expecting this added stress...

I hope everything thing works out for you. Your in my thoughts, and hope that Bunny comes soon!! You still look great!! Have a great Holiday and a Happy New Year!
The last month is the hardest,
Because you never know when
It will happen..
The way it was for me the day I told
Everyone my son wasn't coming he's going to have to be pulled out was the night my water broke , and then
In labor when I was ready to get up and leave it was time to push..
As hard as it is I believe when you
Think she will never come is when
It will happen..
She has a wonderful home inside
Of you she will come when she's
Ready and from now on every thing
Will be on her terms..
Bunny will come and all this waiting will be a distant memory.
Just take it one day at a time and
Do your best to relax I know
Its easier said than done but
For your sake try to.
I'm so sorry honestly I do
Remember how you feel and how
Everything every one said pissed me off..so I'm sorry if anything I'm
Saying to you right now is just
Not what you want to hear..
She will be here soon!
You've heard it all already, so I won't repeat it. However, what about some sex and spicy food, a natural and safe way to get her moving. Just a thought, it does work.
And speaking of work, I'm a teacher and I was royally screwed out of 3 months salary because they refused to get me an aid to push me in a wheelchair and then deemed me unfit to work. So trust me when I say, I feel your frustration.
Feel good and it won't be long now when she's in your arms.
Oh, quick question, do you keep a journal? Not for you, but for her? Telling her how you feel right now, how you can't wait to meet her and the things you're doing to get ready. It's a lot of fun, and I did that for my first daughter and kept it going so that now I write her a letter on each of her birthdays. When she turns 18 she'll get them all. (I'm corny I know ;-D)
