Time is flying by

It seems like Yorlee grows an inch everyday.  And her personality is definitely blossoming.  I've already started packing up her 3-6 month clothes, and started opening/buying/washing 6-9 month sizes.

When I look back at her newborn clothes, they seem SO tiny and it seems as though she was never that small.

She's mastering rolling now.  She can roll from back to belly and from belly to back.  Often times, when I'm holding her on my lap facing forward, she'll turn herself around so that she can look at me.  If I lay her down, she'll roll and reach for anything that's near her.  She LOVES to chomp on her blankets and our comforter.  She started to blow raspberries while nursing.  It cracks me up because it makes the funniest sound.  She loves to smile at people while I'm holding her, but the minute they pick her up she starts screaming.

She loves to watch people and tries to figure out what is going on around her.  She can sit unassisted.  She loves to "talk" in the middle of the night.  She'll wake up and just start babbling, and then fall asleep again after a few minutes.  She pulls her hair when she's sleepy, and also when she's nursing.  She also loves to rub my face when I'm nursing her and tries to stick her fingers in my mouth.

I can't believe she'll be five months on Saturday!  Time is truly flying by, and I'm loving every minute that I get to spend with my little girl.

Photos

I never seem to have my actual camera available to capture milestones.  My cell phone is equipped with a pretty decent camera, and I always have that, so pretty much all of the photos that I share were taken with that.

Here are a few that I recently took of my little princess:

Sitting up on her own. I snapped the photo right as she was about to topple over!

Getting impatient with me.
Happy Wednesday!

4 month Dr. appointment

Yorlee had her four month well-baby appointment on Friday.  I was extremely nervous because my husband took her by himself.  Not that he isn't capable, but the fact that I couldn't be there for her when she received her second round of vaccinations really hurt my heart.  From what he said, she did really well.

Here are her stats:

Height: 25 3/4 inches
Weight: 13.9 lbs
Head Circumference: 16 inches

She was pretty out of it after receiving her shots.  I gave her extra cuddles and kisses for comfort.

Also, she slept in her crib that night!!  I was shocked.  She was really fussy, and I had been holding her pretty much since I got home from work, but she didn't seem like she wanted to be bothered with me.  So I put her in her crib with her Sights and Sounds Seahorse, and she snoozed for four hours!  My husband and I were shocked!  The next morning, she was fussing again so we put her back in her crib and she slept for three and a half hours.  The rest of the weekend she slept in bed with me, she was kind of congested and had been coughing.

My little girl has been sitting up all by herself!  I'm proud of her, yet sad, because she's growing up so fast!  I'll have to take pictures of her doing it so I can share them with you all.

Other than that, things have been going well.  She is still Miss Fussy at night and needs a lot of rocking and nursing to get her to calm down.  But I think it's because her brain is in overdrive trying to process all of the things she sees during the day, and she's trying to master her motor skills.

Yorlee is 4 months old!! (A little late...)

My little pumpkin pie turned four months nearly two weeks ago.  I absolutely love this age!  Here's what she's been up too lately:

* Talking to Mommy and Daddy -  She loves having conversations with us, and often gets upset if we stop talking to her or don't respond quickly enough.

* Rolling over -  My sweet pea can roll from tummy to back, and from back to side.

* Drooling - Her pediatrician says she's not teething, but her fingers stay in her mouth, and I have to keep a bib on her at all times because she drools on everything!!  When I hold her my shoulders, arms, and hands are covered in drool.

* Fussing - She knows what she wants and when she wants it.  If she doesn't get her way, she turns into a fussy butt.

*Pulling her hair - When Yorlee is tired, she tugs on her hair and rubs her eyes.  I usually try to put her down before she gets this tired.  If I don't, it is harder to get her to unwind and fall asleep, and tears are usually shed.

* Grabbing her toys - She loves her play mat and exersaucer now that she is able to grab her toys.  She's so curious.

*Squealing - She recently learned how to do it and now squeals/screams all the time.

*Standing - She when I stand her up on my lap.  Her little leg muscles are getting stronger and stronger.

(I'm such a bad Mommy for not posting this sooner!!!)

Photo dump

I have seven saved posts that I've been meaning to finish and post.  So much has been going on, we just came back from California, Yorlee is teething and going through the four month sleep regression, I'm tired, etc...

I've been reading (and trying to comment) on every one's blogs, but I guess in the meantime I've been neglecting my own.  I promise to get back into the swing of things!!

For now, I'll leave you with pictures of my sour patch kid (I call her that because she will be as sweet as sugar one minute, and then her lip pokes out and she turns SOUR!  LOL!!).  Enjoy!!

WHAT!!???!!!???
