21 weeks w/ baby boy!

How far along:  21 weeks, over half way through this pregnancy.
Total weight gain/loss: Really unsure, I'll find out at my next doctors appointment.
Sleep:  Where is my energy?  I've been more tired lately than ever.  Maybe it's the heat?
Food cravings:  Cheese, Mexican food, Salt & Vinegar chips.
Best moment this week:  Watching Yorlee hug and kiss my belly.  Sometimes she's so sweet and other times she jumps on me with no regard to the bump.
Most embarrassing moment this week:  Running to the bathroom after baby boy gave me a swift kick to the bladder.  I was pulling down my pants mid run (once I was in the restroom) when I looked up and saw the janitor mopping the floor.  I didn't even care and rushed into a stall for instant relief.  Later, when he came to my desk to dust he said with a smile, "When you've got to go, you've got to go."  How true!  Who cares if he saw my unders....
Movement:  He is way more relaxed in the womb than his big sister was.  I still feel movement every day, multiple times a day.  Hopefully he is just as laid back when he is born.
Gender:  Still a little gentleman.

Labor signs:  Just the Braxton Hicks at times.  Lately I have been absolutely paranoid about preterm labor.  It weighs down my thoughts and there are periods of time when I can't think of anything else.  I'm praying for a full term baby boy.  There isn't a reason for my concern, I also had it with Yorlee.  Pregnancy brings out my anxiety.
Belly Button in or out:  Mostly out, you can see it through my shirt.

What I miss:  Having normal emotions.
What I am looking forward to:  Hitting viability at 24 weeks.  It's not so far away!!

Milestones:  I'm over halfway through this pregnancy.
Weekly Wisdom:  Asking for help isn't a sign of weakness, but a sign of intelligence.  I've been more open with my husband and close family and friends about what they can do that will make me more comfortable and it is certainly paying off.
Symptoms:  Extremely short temper, gas pains, appetite, emotional, irrational.
Emotions:  HA!  Ask my husband...  Poor guy!

20 weeks w/ baby #2! (Halfway DONE!!)

How far along:  20 weeks!  I totally can't believe that I am halfway through this pregnancy.  Wow, wow, Wow!!!!!!!!!

Total weight gain/loss:  I've been an eating machine.  I wouldn't be surprised if I gained 5 lbs.  Seriously.  I.can't.stop.eating!!!!!!!!!!

Sleep:  Need it, crave it, have to have it.

Food cravings:  Anything.  If I hear about it or see a commercial for it, I want it.  Simple as that.

Best moment this week:  Seeing baby during my anatomy scan and hearing that everything looks right on track.  He looks great!  No cleft palate, all fingers and toes, great heart, beautiful brain, etc.  So amazing!

Most embarrassing moment this week:  I decided to add this question because I seem to have an embarrassing moment every week.  Yesterday I ate a TON of fruit for breakfast, and (TMI, sorry) it gave me major gas!  I came in through the basement of my building and got in the elevator and.... passed gas.  For some reason, I didn't think the elevator would stop on the first floor.  Well, it did.  And this guy gets in and the look on his face was priceless.  And he knew I did it.  I was SO embarrassed!!!!!!  I mean, I really let go in that elevator.  I jumped out of the elevator when it stopped on my floor and I'm still praying that I never see him again.

Movement:  Starting to get more intense and higher up.  I'm also starting to feel movement at my sides instead of the center of my belly.  He's growing and stretching out.

Gender:  Still a little gentleman.

Labor signs:  Very sporadic Braxton Hicks.  I'm so glad they are going away.  I've been drinking more water so I think that helps.

Belly Button in or out:  Mostly out, you can see it through my shirt.

What I miss:  Not being a gas machine.

What I am looking forward to:  Hitting viability at 24 weeks.  It's not so far away!!

Milestones:  Hitting the halfway mark of this pregnancy.  It's true, the second pregnancy really does go by faster than the first.

Weekly Wisdom:  Don't pass gas in the elevator, it can really cause an embarrassing situation...  Do it BEFORE you get in the elevator instead.  Ha!

Symptoms:  Irritability, lack of patience, short temper, gas, hunger, extreme thirst, fatigue, aches and pains, and protruding belly and belly button.

Emotions:  Unstable.  I think that's the perfect word to describe them.

Confessions

 - Sometimes I steal snacks out of my toddler's daycare bag on the way to work because I'm so hungry even though I just had breakfast.

- I cried in the drive thru at Burger King last week because they ran out of Hersey's Sundae Pie.

- When I told my husband that I was upset about the lack of pie at Burger King, he then went to Walmart and bought me a WHOLE Hersey's Sundae Pie.  Like, who knew they sold it?

- I pretty much devoured said pie.

- I'm going to go to Burger King and buy more pie today during my lunch break, if I can wait that long.  I will probably go at 10AM.

- I had to cut the band on a pair of maternity pants that I was wearing because it was hurting my gassy belly.  Now my pants are saggy but my belly feels so much better!  (Maybe thugs sag their pants because they have gas and it hurts their stomachs?  Probably not...)

- Pregnancy gas and bloating is the WORST and give me cramps.

- I go to bed near 8:30PM every night.

- Sometimes I feel like a horrible mom because I don't feel like playing with my toddler, I'm just SO tired.  Thankfully my husband fully stepped in and plays with her and puts her to bed every night.  Amazing!

- I ate Flamin' Hot Cheetos in bed last night and woke up to see that my entire mouth was red and brushing my teeth didn't help.  Now I'm at work with a red mouth.

- I order kid's meals in the drive through at fast food restaurants and devour them.  Also, I get the meals when Yorlee isn't with me so that I don't have to share.

19 weeks w/ baby #2

How far along:  19 weeks down, 21 left to go.  At this point, I feel as though this pregnancy is moving at the speed of light.

Total weight gain/loss:  Haven't stepped on the scale, but I'd say a pound or so.

Sleep:  Can't get enough.  I'm still as tired as I was in the first trimester!

Food cravings:  Anything.  If I hear about it or see a commercial for it, I want it.  Simple as that.

Best moment this week:  Finding out that baby 2.0 is a BOY!!!!!!!!!

Movement:  Yes, he doesn't move as much as his sister did and I'm hoping that means he will be a chill easy going baby.  (Ha! Wishful thinking...)

Gender:  BOY, BOY, BOY!!

Labor signs:  Still having Braxton Hicks.  They are becoming less frequent though, but I'm still going to talk to my doctor about it.

Belly Button in or out:  Halfway out, and kind of tender.

What I miss:  Can't think of anything righ tnow.

What I am looking forward to:  The anatomy scan next week.  I can't wait to see all of his little body parts, and I'm praying that everything is forming as it should be and he's healthy.

Milestones:  My belly is starting to get in the way at times, which I think is awesome because it reminds me that I am actually pregnant.

Weekly Wisdom:  When in doubt, go with your first instinct.  When I first found out I was pregnant I just KNEW I was having a boy then changed my mind, I was right!!!

Symptoms:  I'm super irritable, and kind of mean.  Also, I get annoyed very easily and my temper is shorter.  My skin looks like I'm a teenager, appetite is raging, lower back aches, round ligament pain, Braxton Hicks, and headaches.

Emotions:  All over the place, one day I'm up, the next day I'm down.

"There's a penis in my belly!"

For some reason those are the words that flew out of my mouth during our ultrasound yesterday.  The ultrasound tech and my husband were laughing so hard!

If you remember, our anatomy scan is scheduled for June 12th.  However, my GENIUS husband scheduled himself to work mandatory OT on that day not realizing that he was creating a conflict of schedule.  I really, really wanted to be together as a family when we found out the gender, so I booked a private ultrasound at a 3D/4D ultrasound place.

We went yesterday afternoon and I was a ball of nerves all day.  My mind kept bouncing back and forth all day from boy to girl.  Either way was a win-win to us.  If we had a girl, Yorlee would have a little sister and we wouldn't have to buy anything.  If we had a boy, my husband would have a son and we would have one of each.  We didn't prefer one over the other.

The tech started the scan and immediately went for the gender.  And then it came into view.  One teeny, tiny little Wee Wee!

I can't believe we are on team BLUE this time!!  Pictures to come, of the belly and the baby.
