My husband

My husband has been amazing throughout this whole pregnancy. He is so supportive, and understanding, and he deals with my hormones. :-) I feel so fortunate to have him in my life, and so glad that we are having our first child together.

When we first went out and bought baby books, I bought them thinking that I'd be the only one reading them, I was so wrong! Lately I've had horrible indigestion, and I mean HORRIBLE! One night after laying in bed and complaining, my husband said to me, "I know you're in pain, but it's completely normal, I read in the book that it starts to act up right about now." How cute is that? (Well, maybe it's just cute to me.) The fact that he's interested in what changes I'm going through really warms my heart. And the fact that he doesn't look at me like I'm crazy after I wake him up in the middle of the night angry with him because he cheated on me in my dream, shows me just how patient he can be. LOL!

All in all, I couldn't have picked a better man. He's amazing, and I'm so glad he's mine!

My, how you've grown!

Today at work I realized that I'm wearing the same dress that I wore earlier in my pregnancy. I decided to take photos to see if I could notice a difference....

Here's a look at me and Bunny at 15 weeks 1 day pregnant:

And this is me today, at 21 weeks 2 days. What a difference 6 weeks makes!!!
And again...

WOW! I really look pregnant! LOL! It looks like "my girls" are getting bigger too! I've been feeling pretty good, it's still so hard for me to believe that I'm over halfway through this pregnancy. I'm curious to see what I will look like 6 weeks from now....

The Attack of the Pregnancy Hormones!!!!

Guess who had their first major pregnancy meltdown last night??????

Still guessing? Okay, I'll tell ya......

IT WAS ME!!! LOL!

It seemed as though all was well during the first part of my pregnancy, my moods were good, I felt good, everything was good. But lately there's been a change, and boy oh boy do I feel bad for my husband.

This will probably seem silly to everyone, but my freak out was caused by my weight gain (which is barely existent). All of a sudden, out of nowhere, I got this overwhelming feeling that I was going to be as big as a house at the end of my pregnancy and that my husband wouldn't like me anymore. I started bawling, I mean, BAWLING!! My contact fell out, my nose was running, face was flushed, it was a mess. Then I got the hiccups. At first my husband was laughing, because he thought I was joking, but when I turned to face him he saw that tears flowing and I wasn't laughing with him. He looked absolutely shocked. Not only did my breakdown come out of no where, but it was also completely unwarranted. I'm not even back at my pre-pregnancy weight yet. But the hormones were doing the thinking, not me. LOL!

I'm sure that was just the first of many more to come...

21 Weeks!!!!

How far along? 21 weeks! One week closer to my goal! (Which is 24 weeks, and my next goal is 30 weeks, then 34 weeks, then 37 weeks.)

Total weight gain/loss: I think I'm still up a pound. I need to make a Dr. appt so I can get an actual count.

Sleep: Not so good. I'm having a hard time staying on my sides and my poor husband freaks out when he wakes up and finds me sleeping on my back (can you tell he's reading the pregnancy books?). Also, my dreams are getting out of control, I actually woke up in tears last night. And they always involve something happening to my husband, freaks me out!

Food cravings: Sweets. I knew this day would come, I'm trying not to indulge too much, I don't want to gain weight rapidly.

Best moment this week: Watching my belly move while I was at the bank. I was sitting down and Bunny was just kicking away. It was awesome!

Movement: More often than not, she's a mover and a shaker!

Labor Signs: NO! I don't even want to think about this until 37 weeks... (this answer is going to remain the same until 37 weeks, lol!)

Gender: Still on team PINK!!

Stretchies: None related to pregnancy. I debated about adding this one, but I think I'd like to be able to look back and see when my pregnancy stretch marks appear.

Belly Button in or out? It's completely flat now. Poor thing, it's being stretched to the max!

What I miss: Nothing this week. It's been a great week!

What I am looking forward to: Hitting my next goal, 24 weeks. Only 3 weeks away!!

Symptoms: Heartburn, fatigue, increased appetite, round ligament pain. I've also noticed that Bunny likes to curl up on one side, and boy it hurts. I try to coax her out of the spot by rubbing gently, sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't...

Milestones: Getting closer to 24 weeks. And getting a real bump, I love it!

Weekly wisdom: Go for a walk, it really does help with aches and pains. I'm trying to take one every night after dinner, and it's a great workout.

Emotions: Good for the most part. I get really emotional thinking about Bunny sometimes. Especially now that her little clothes are hanging up, I just want her to get here safely.

Well HELLLOOOO hunger!

I think 20 weeks brought on my insatiable appetite. It seems like I'm always starving. I even woke up in the middle of the night to snack, which NEVER happened before! LOL! And, I'm starting to feel "pregnant". Bunny kicks are harder than ever, to the point that my stomach was actually sore from her thrashing about. And my back is starting to hurt more, sleep is harder, clothes fit differently, etc. But guess what.... I LOVE IT!!

My husband and I were out of town this weekend, we went to Toledo, Ohio. While we were there, I decided to take some belly pics. Enjoy!

My husband actually took a pic with me this week! How awesome is that? He's laughing because I was telling him how hungry I was, even though we had just ate. Needless to say, we went back out for more food. LOL!

Please excuse the goofy grin on my face, my husband was dancing around in the background.

I definitely have a baby bump!!

I still can't fathom that my belly is going to get even bigger! At times it feels so huge, I can't wait to see what I look like at 9 months!

I'll be 21 weeks tomorrow! Only 3 more weeks until VIABILITY!!! WOO-HOO! I can't wait for that day. I hope everyone is doing well!
Have a great Monday! :-)

20 week belly pic

I feel like I'm really starting to pop out a bit. I took a few other pictures, but they came out horrible. I'm going to have my husband finally take some real belly pics over the weekend. More and more people are starting to realize that I'm pregnant, which is so cool to me!

Bunny gave me a swift kick to the bladder today. It startled me, and made me run for the ladies room. LOL! I really can't complain, this pregnancy has been a breeze so far, I find that I enjoy it more and more each day.

I have noticed that at the end of the day I feel more tired and achy. I guess all the running around that I do at work finally catches up to me. But overall I feel great!

Have a great day!

20 WEEKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the kind words everyone. I really, really appreciate it. I'm sure all my fears/anxieties will be erased once she arrives. My husband has been really supportive as well. We went to his cousin's baby shower over the weekend, and her mom was SO excited and involved, it really made me sad. But, I realize that I do have support and I do have people who love me and believe in me. Which is great!

I did take a belly pic today, I'll post it once I get home.

Here's this weeks update! 5 months! Woo-hoo!!!

20 Weeks!! (5 Months!!!)

How far along? 20 weeks! Halfway to the finish line!!!!

Total weight gain/loss: 1 lb. Finally!!!! (I'm sure the excitement will wear off as the number starts to climb, LOL!)

Sleep: Pretty good. My dreams are SO weird!! I wake up so confused at times.

Food cravings: Orange juice. It's so delicious, but it give me horrible heartburn! Ouch!

Best moment this week: A stranger noticing that I'm preggers! Yay!!!

Movement: All the time, it's to the point that it scares me if she's not bouncing around in there, but then my brain starts to work again and I realize that she does sleep sometimes! HA!

Labor Signs: NO! I don't even want to think about this until 37 weeks... (this answer is going to remain the same until 37 weeks, lol!)

Gender: Still on team PINK!!

Belly Button in or out? Still hanging in there. (Get it? IN there? We'll, that was my lame joke of the day... )

What I miss: Being able to walk like a normal person. Sometimes the round ligament pain gets to me and my back hurts and there appears.... THE WADDLE! Who knew it would happen so soon? My husband thinks its funny, especially since my belly isn't huge yet.

What I am looking forward to: Hitting my next goal, 24 weeks. Only 4 weeks away!!

Symptoms: Heartburn, leg cramps, fatigue, increased appetite, veins all over, round ligament pain.

Milestones: Making it to 20 weeks! December will be here in no time.

Weekly wisdom: Take it easy, it's okay if everything doesn't get done.

Emotions: Still kind of up and down, but lately I've been having more ups than downs, so that's good.

Untitled

I tried to come up with a clever title for this post, but I just couldn't.

I've been feeling kind of down in the dumps lately. Surely, it's just hormones, but usually I can take things in stride. This time, it's harder.

Not in any way am I trying to say that I'm not thrilled to be having a baby girl.

It just brings up emotions over not having my own mother here with me to experience this. The thought of being a mom to a little boy seemed (in my head) like it would be so much easier.

19 weeks! Woo-hoo!!!

How far along? 19 weeks! I can't believe I'll be 5 months pregnant NEXT WEEK!! What!?!?!?

Total weight gain/loss: From my bathroom scale this morning, I'm up a few ounces. Let's see how long it lasts.

Sleep: Okay, it's hard to roll from one side to the other now. And the leg cramps remain. But other than that, pretty good.

Food cravings: Cheeseburgers!! I have been in LOVE with them!!

Best moment this week: Shopping for Lil' Miss Priss!!! She has so many girly items already, I've slowed WAY down with the shopping because I don't want to buy too much before the shower.

Movement: Very consistent, and getting stronger. She gave me a few kicks that were actually startling. But I love it!

Labor Signs: NO! I don't even want to think about this until 37 weeks... (this answer is going to remain the same until 37 weeks, lol!)

Gender: Girl!!!!!! I STILL can't believe that I was wrong. I felt deep down in my soul that I was carrying a busy little boy, but I'm thrilled to be having a girl. My sisters and I are all really girly, so I'm sure she'll be the same way. And I can't wait to see my husband interact with his daughter.

Belly Button in or out? Still in, but stretched to the max. It's actually sore to the touch which is weird, but I guess I didn't go around touching my belly button before I was pregnant.

What I miss: Not worrying about every little thing. Small issues are big issues to me lately. Everything is magnified. But I'm glad I'm experiencing this because I know once Lil' Miss gets here, the worrying will REALLY start.

What I am looking forward to: Seeing Lil' Miss again. I get to see her tomorrow. They were able to get every single measurement so I get to go back and see my princess again!!

Symptoms: Heartburn, constant hunger, emotional, leg cramps, round ligament pain.

Milestones: Being almost halfway through this pregnancy. I'm so glad to have made it this far. Once I hit 24 weeks I think I'll be able to relax a little bit. LOL!

Weekly wisdom: Time really does fly. I used to roll my eyes when people would say, "This pregnancy is going by so quickly!" Now I see exactly what they meant. It seems like it was just yesterday that I was 12 weeks, now I'm 18. Wow!!

Emotions: All over the place. LOL! But it's so worth it!

Oh, the HORRORmones!!

(Please note, if you are TTCing or dealing with IF or pregnancy loss, I really hope this post doesn't offend you. I try to take everyone into consideration when I write my posts. I hope you understand. If not, I truly apologize. I don't want to hurt anyone...)

I must say, I'm pretty fortunate thus far. The meltdowns and temper flares have been at a minimum during this pregnancy. My husband knows he has it good, and he attempts to keep me from blowing my lid, which is great. But lately, I've been feeling it...

I get irritated SO easily. Maybe it's the leg cramps that keep me awake at night. Maybe it's the frequent trips to the bathroom, and the fact that Lil' Miss Priss loves to stay up all night and party. Or maybe it's the fact that I actually have a belly now, and I'm feeling a tad bit more uncomfortable. The tears come easily. I feel unsettled, and scared, and nervous. My mind runs a mile a minute, and I'm full of fears. Fears of our apartment catching fire, or my husband being hurt, or losing my job, or bill piling up sky-high. It could be pregnancy induced anxiety. Actually, I'm pretty sure that's what it is.

Taking it easy is hard to do when you feel like so much work needs to be done. We're still trying to clean out the room that will eventually be Lil' Miss Priss' nursery. And now I'm trying to help plan my shower. AND, I'm almost halfway done with this pregnancy! That just blows my mind. All of a sudden I feel as though I'm running out of time. It's already August, and December doesn't seem to far away.

I know that everything will work out. In my heart I truly believe that. But when you're mind is clouded by HORRORmones, and you're sleep deprived, it can get pretty difficult to see the light. A lot of my worry is about the baby. Hoping that she isn't premature, concerns about delivery and complications, bonding with her, etc. Also I have concerns about how my relationship with my husband will change. I think that not having had a mother and father in my life is still taking a toll on me. I'm feeling insecure about everything.

Sorry for rambling on and on, but I just had to get this out. I'm sure one day, when Lil' Miss Priss is crawling around, I'll be thinking, "WHY was I worried about that? I should have spent more time relaxing!!" So that's what I'm trying to do, relax and take each day as it comes.
